Youth Group Flower Sale is underway.  Deadline for orders is May 4.  Plant pick-up is May 10, 10am-12pm in Malawi Room.  You can find an order form in announcement area of the bulletin.

Youth Mission Trip to Phillippi, WV June 15-21.  The Senior High youth are joining with Ingomar Methodist Church from
June 15 through June 21. They will be travelling to Phillippi, WV to work on restoring homes. The work is organized by the Hearts and Hands organization. We need to raise $2,000 to $5,000 to cover the cost of the materials for the work projects. The cost per youth to go is $180, and the cost per leader is $80. We will be having additional fundraisers to raise money to cover these costs.  If you would like to sponsor the youth, please speak with Sean Kelly.

Help Build A House on Saturday, August 16, 2008.  A group of volunteers from Northmont will be joining a Hosanna Industries workday on Saturday, August 16, 2008, to build or reconstruct a house for a needy family.  Come have a great time learning new construction skills (how to drywall, do framing, hang siding, do roofing, do plumbing, do electrical work) all while you're truly helping someone in need and meeting and socializing with other Northmont members as well as people helping from other churches.  If you're interested in joining on Aug 16 or have questions, e-mail volunteer@northmontchurch.org or contact Andy Fraley at (412) 779-5034.  Click here for a printable flyer to hand to others who may be interested in joining this one-day mission trip.

North Hills Food Bank - need paper products in the month of May 2008. All items are very much appreciated.

Allegheny County Literacy - need empty ink cartridges and cell phones.  The Presbyterian Women are still collecting used ink cartridges and cell phones for the Allegheny County Literacy Council. Just drop your donations in the designated box in the library and you’ll be helping our neighbors and our environment.

McKnight Area Meals On Wheels is in desperate need of volunteer drivers, even one day a month would help. Call Vince at 412-487-4088.

Steps of Faith Needs Your Help during 11:00am service on Sundays (10:00am during summer).  If you love kids and are interested in helping kids to learn more about faith through simple lessons and crafts, then we want YOU! Currently, there are not enough volunteers to sustain the program throughout the summer. If you would like to help out, please contact Mandi Richey as soon as possible.

The Northmont Mission Ministry is again planning a major food drive for the needy families served by the Northside Common Ministries Food Pantry. Labeled paper bags have been distributed (or you may use your own). We ask that you fill each bag with $5 - $10 of any listed non-perishable foods if you are able to donate. Please return the bags to the coat area next to the Library on April 27th, but not later than May 4th. Thank you for your help.
