The Knit Wits

Every morning, all year long, the Knit-Wits meet in the Malawi Room in Northmont to knit various pieces of clothing. Lois Richards leads these 21 ladies who meet regularly.

The items that they make include hats and caps, mittens, scarves, baby sweater sets, baby blankets, children's sweaters, lap robes, afghans, and shawls.

The items went to the following places:  Seamen's Church Institute of New York, Allegheny General Hospital, Crisis Center North, Mars Home, Regency Hall Nursing Home, North Hills Passavant Hospital, Operation Safety Net, Guidepost Sweater Project, Manor Care Nursing Home, West Penn Hospital, Wexford House Nursing Home, Hope Hospice, Windsor Place, Bethlehem Haven, Pleasant Valley Shelter, Alma Illery Medical Center, and Malawi.
