Special Groups in Study and Service

The following groups are a mix of adult fellowship, mission, and/or adult bible study.

Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women is a group of women who are a very active part of the life and mission of Northmont Church. Northmont's Presbyterian Women do many things including:

  • sponsor an annual Flea Market & Bake Sale and a Harvest Dinner to raise money for mission causes
  • sponsor a committee to provide after-funeral receptions for church members and their families
  • make and deliver care baskets to home-bound members
  • sponsor a Christmas Luncheon and program
  • annually recognize an outstanding Northmont PW with a Honorary Life Membership
  • host "Lunch Bunch" monthly to visit a place of interest and for lunch at an area restaurant
  • host a Book Review Group
  • host two special church-wide offerings annually:  the Thank Offering in November, and the Birthday Offering in May

Northmont Presbyterian Women meet for bible study and fellowship in two "Circles":

Esther Circle Second Tuesday, 7:30 pm
Sarah Circle Second Tuesday, 9:30 am

Knit-Wits
A group of women (sponsored by Presbyterian Women) who meet each Wednesday morning at 9:30 am to work on knitting projects. The women knit lap robes for patients in local hospitals and nursing homes, blankets for local homeless shelters, caps for babies in local hospitals, and sweaters, hats, gloves and scarves for our partnership church in Malawi.

Northmont Brotherhood Club (NBC)
A group of retired men who meet each Tuesday morning at 8:30 am for fellowship, study and service. Each week there is an informative program, and each spring, the group holds their annual breakfast. NBC members volunteer to help with the PW rummage sale, they mail our newsletter, and volunteer as Sunday morning greeters at church. NBC members also have their own golf and bowling leagues.
