Pastor Don Introduces INTERIM TEAM

Upon Dr. Ewing’s arrival in April 2007 he asked Session to form an INTERIM TEAM (which is sometimes referred to as the “I-TEAM”). The Interim Team was confirmed by Session to work with the Interim Pastor. The Interim Team is ultimately responsible to Session acting as a review and recommendation group whose task it is to help the interim pastor identify plans and directions that need to be addressed during the interim time and suggest ways to meet those needs. These directions, goals and plans are presented to Session to be adopted and implemented in the life of the church.

We recall that back in November 2006 when work was begun to prepare for Northmont’s transition to an Interim Pastor, a team [the ‘Transition Team’ as it was called] was formed. Its tasks included developing a job description for the Interim Pastor and l interviewing candidates for the position. The Transition Team accomplished their goals when Dr. Ewing was Called to be the Interim Pastor. The Transition Team was dismissed with the grateful thanks of Session and congregation in April of this year.

The Interim Team, new upon Dr. Ewing’s arrival, and tasked to help move Christ’s mission forward here at Northmont during the interim, is comprised of Jerry Holman, Janet Hoegel, Lisa Baierl, Dick Spahr, Judith Shifrin, Larry Anderson, Carolyn Pearsall and Dr. Ewing.
