PRAYER TIME BEFORE WORSHIP Teach me your ways, Lord, that I may be open to the same Spirit who moved over the face of the waters in creation, and moves over the chaos of this time to fashion a Kingdom. Make me aware of the miracles of life, and of the unfathomable mystery of amazing grace in which I am kept. Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may praise you. Amen

Mighty God, we lift up our hearts to you for your love to us. Accept, we pray, our praise and thanksgiving as we offer our very selves to you in worship and adoration. Amen

LITANY OF CONFESSION
Leader: Holy Creator and Judge of all, you made us to enjoy open fellowship with
you and with one another.
Community: As the Son and the Father are one, so we are created to live
together in perfect unity.
Leader: Yet, we have rebelled against your authority and have turned against one
another.
Community: In mercy, forgive us, and spare us our due judgment. Fill us
anew with your Spirit, that we would richly manifest your rule of
righteousness, peace and joy.
Leader: Enable us to walk rightly before you, in loving unity with one another.
[Moment of silent confession]
DECLARATION OF PARDON
Leader: Hear the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Community: In Christ, through Christ, with Christ we are forgiven and given
new life and peace. Praise God for His gift of forgiveness.

In Jesus true humanity was realized once for all. Jesus lived among his own people and shared their needs, temptations, joys and sorrows. He expressed the love of God in word and deed and became a brother to all kinds of sinful people. His life and teachings brought him into conflict with his people and many rejected him. In giving himself freely for them he took upon himself the judgment under which all people stand convicted. God raise him from the dead, vindicating him as Messiah and Lord. The victim of sin became victor,

and won the victory over sin and death for all. The risen Christ is the savior for all. Those joined to him by faith are set right with God and commissioned to server as his reconciling community.

“Borning Cry” (11:00a) Yivisaker
Jeannie Schott, flute
I was there to hear your borning cry, I’ll be there when you are old. I rejoiced the day you were baptized, to see your life unfold. I was there when you were but a child, with a faith to suit you well; in a blaze of light you wandered off to find where demons dwell. When you heard the wonder of the Word I was there to cheer you on; you were raised to praise the living Lord, to whom you now belong. If you find someone to share your time and you join your hearts as one, I’ll be there to make your verses rhyme from dusk ‘til rising sun. In the middle ages of your life, not too old, no longer young, I’ll be there to guide you through the night, complete what I’ve begun. When the evening gently closes in and you shut your weary eyes, I’ll be there as I have always been with just one more surprise. I was there to hear your borning cry…..
*OFFERTORY PRAISE & PRAYER OF DEDICATION
