PRAYER TIME BEFORE WORSHIP Eternal God, it is hard to believe that you want what I have to give, and that you take me as I am. Yet, Lord, you taught us to come to you in the naturalness of our lives and in the disorder of our chaotic spirits. So I come, O Lord, moving in the right direction, I hope, turned toward the light you offer. And if in my coming, my moving, my turning, I am strengthened in and through You, that is enough. Amen

HELP THE DEACONS WITH MILITARY CARE PACKAGES
The Deacons are gathering items to send to our military personnel. On the second Sunday of each month, collection boxes will be at the tower entrance and in the library. We would like to have any names and addresses of military men and women that you might know who would like to receive our care packages.
Please keep the items small as these are easier to package. If you would like to donate money toward the sending of the packages you could do that also. Every little bit helps!
ITEMS NEEDED:
Chapstick Tuna Fish packs Nerf footballs Squirt guns Snack bags (pretzels, chips) Baby wipes Toothpaste Non-Aerosol Deodorant Band Aids Hard candy, mints Beef jerky Nuts |
Off Bug Spray Gold Bond Foot Powder Playing cards Frisbees Vaseline Intensive Care Creme Giant ziplock bags Toothbrushes Cort-Aide Powdered drinks Envelopes Note pads |
Cereal Bars Sunscreen Dominos Tootsie Rolls Soft toilet paper Shampoo Benedryl tablets Magazines Disposable cameras Gum Pens, pencils
|
If you would also like to send small toys for the men and women to hand out to the Iraqi children there, that would be good also. You may want to add a note or card in the packages as well. Children may want to draw them a picture. Any way that we can encourage these fine men and women who are giving so much for our safety is greatly appreciated.
